The New Team of Office Bearers immediately after assuming office have swung into action. In the first week of May 2015 renovation works of the dining hall of our Association has begun. Under the guidance the Heritage Committee of the High Court, Madras the false ceiling of the dining hall has been removed. We were directed to remove all the attachments and hangings from the room. The cracks developed on the cieling have been plastered in a traditional way lime and mortar. The paintings over the walls are removed in order to facilitate the bricks to breathe. The rafters on the ceiling are repaired and the bad ones were replaced with the new rafters. The white painting on the rafters are removed and varnished suiting the heritage look of this magnificent structure. Our work is taken as a model to renovate the other parts of the building by the Archaeological survey of India. The Chemists from the Hyderabad visited to inspect the bricks and give a protective coats to the walls. The work is going on in full swing and hopefully will be completed before reopening. The new team lead by our President Mr.R.Shunmugasundaram, Senior Advocate are working tirelessly to complete the task.
